It should be a straight swop mate, you might want to think about an STI intercooler as well.

AFAIK should be fine if you drive it off boost until the mapping is done, just take it steady

There could be a problem with the fuelling, but the mapper should tell you if you need an uprated fuel pump or regulator. Uprated injectors and an uprated intercooler will allow the mapper to get more out of the turbo, but that's starting to get to an additional stage of tuning. These pages might be useful as a guide:

just pipe the actuator straight to the turbo and u will run actuator pressure0.8 bar ish ,stops you getting tempted to boost it up until u get the map

sti pink injectors, uprated fuel pump are a must , not need for fuel reg , and i would consider a hybrid front mount as the sti one will cost more once u have brought the ic ,scoop (painted it) and under tray .

aint these vf 43 twin scroll turbos

I got a Process West intercooler and undertray for WRX off ebay for £600:
PROCESS WEST - WRX/STi Products - Top Mounted Intercooler
Means I can keep the WRX scoop to save a few pennies, but at that price it is getting close to a low end FMIC. The advantages of the TMIC for me were that I could fit it myself and save a little - I'm not up to fitting a front mount; and don't have to worry about worsening turbo lag. I'm only looking to go up to 350bhp so the top mount should be enough; if I was planning to keep going up to the 400 mark I'd definitely have gone for a front mount, and paid the extra for fitting. Of course I say that now, in a year's time I'll probably be selling the TMIC

The WRX hawkeye has the same scoop and injectors as the STI, so no need to change them.
Only items that may need swapping are the IC or fuel . These will depend on your target. Get further info your mapper on this.
Drive off boost until it is mapped.

did you buy the intercooler of Ebay UK or from abroad? I want to buy the same process west top mount intercooler with splitter but couldn't find it on sale. how's the quality of the product and does the undertray really work?

VF43 is a single scroll turbo.

Its an easy swap to a wrx and really sets it free.

With a decent map you should see some great torque and power.

STI pinks arent necessary as std injectors are 505's on the WRX 2006. Fuel pump would be worthwhile though as would the STI tmic and undertray.
