Default Power Increase

Hi guys, my cars done 80k (93 wrx type ra) running 250bhp at the moment and was wondering is it wise to up the power to 300bhp with the miles or would i be asking for trouble?

The engine seems to be in good condtion no oil leaks or any leaks for that matter and sounds sweat enough, would having a cdb have any bearing on things?

And whats the best way to acheive this power on my car and at what cost? if you click on my scooby all tec data for my spec is there

Cheers ste

Remappable ecu (replacement or daughterboard) fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, bigger injectors, better intercooler.

Get a rolling road printout to make sure the car is fine at the mo before spending lots of cash

Cheers mate, whats the best intercooler to get that remains in the same place as the orig as want to keep it under the scoop for my water spray and also what model ecu should i get?

I will be happy with 290-300bhp as with the low ratio gearing and light weight its quick already, only downside is it wont do more than 125mph

Budget is obviously the most important thing to consider.
ECU choices
1: ESL daughter board (Enduring Solutions Limited has a list of suppliers on there)
2:Apexi Power FC (hard to come by now and possibly with the above being released out dated)
3:Simtek (proving very popular on here)

Have a look here www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk for examples of prices and choices.
You should speak to someone who maps the various ecus to get a much better answer.
TMIC the STI8 seems very popular but does seem to be a lot of work to get it to fit.My mate had a STI3 or 4 (can't remember tbh) tmic fitted and he made 280+ on it and that was easy to fit but ,once again, speak to a mapper with your requirements to get a more definative answer.
