right i rang the dealers for a price on a new maf,they said £240+vat,
now ive been told i dont need the whole kit due to me having an induction kit but the bloody women at subaru dont understand whats the best way to describe to her what i need,
can you buy the sensor seprate without the box unit or what
cheers in advance.

I think the cheapest maf is for the 99/00 model, all the others are very expensive.
I tried to find some cheap ones for my bugeye but they are £200+ like yours.
bought 2 used mafs from the states for about £90... at least one is ok, haven't tried the other.

The Subaru lady could well be correct in what she says, if your car is older than 99my then you have no choice but to buy the whole unit, if you give me your chassis number i'll let you know the answer to your question.
