Default Blanking off DV on TMIC

Thinking of blanking off the DV on my 2001 bugeye as I have heard the TD04 can cope without running a DV. (Gonna be upgrading the turbo in November anyway)
Question is what is the best way of doing it? I was thinking of maybe making a blanking plate from a load of sheet metal I have lying around and fitting this between the DV and the intercooler, which would save having to find a bung for the pipe connecting to the DV.

Would this work or have I got to remove the DV and bung up the remaining pipes??

Good idea would be a flat plate drilled to suit, saves needing to find a bung.

Thats what I was thinking ill knock something together at work this week and give it a try.
Do I leave the vacuum hose on the dv or will it need removing?

I'd block it off, just in-case it leaks under boost or vacuum....

not to sure why you want to run without a RV and stall the compressor. slowing the turbo down is the opposite of what you really want to be doing.

is it just for the noise?

yep purely for the noise. If i dont like it, it can easily be returned to normal.
