My 1993 WRX's dash has turned all white with a horrible sticky residue. I can only assume the dealer who I bought it from must have prep'd the car with one of those horrible dash shine products, prior to sale(?). Strange that it took nearly 2 years for it to 'come out'. It must've reacted with this summer's sun or something... but it literally happened over night!

Anyway, it looks really awful and won't come wholley off. You need to use a ludicrous amount of elbow grease with a turps-soaked rag to even begin to get 'rid' of it.

Does anyone know of any companies that actually specialise in the renovation of dashboards as a quick(ish) fix solution e.g. with special sprays, paints or whatever, at acceptable cost?

I don't know how to sort the problem, short of big expense by replacing the whole dash or having it flocked - which I don't wannna do!

Any guidance will be massively appreciated...
