Default New to Scoobionics -- First Impressions

Well it’s been 2 weeks with my first Scooby MY99 Wagon and I’d thought I would share my initial impression

Performance – I think that the sheer composure and grip of the chassis is even more remarkable that the straight line speed. (Although not convinced the engine is running 100%)

Fuel economy – quite pleased I get over 300 miles to the tank (mostly mway miles and I don’t rag it really, well only when a Corsa driver is up my jacksy

Interior – not bad plenty of storage and mine has factory leather so looks pretty smart. Although what the hell is the “Bright” button all it seem to do is brighten the LED clock – ludicrous

Electric windows – why can’t the japs do these , I’ve got a Toyota Land cruiser and they are crap on that as well.

Misc – air con, very good V cold and petty quite on the mway even though I seem to have an aftermarket big bore SS exhaust.

Q. it does seem to use a bit of Oil, although no leaks (no puddles under the car at least) and only seems to smoke when on full boost

Q. Engine Check light comes on sometimes first thing in the morning – but goes off after 30 seconds or so (I suppose just check the ECU for faults)

Q. What turbo will it have (assuming a standard UK car?)

cheers

James

The windows seem slightly "limp" they go up and down with a slight "can’t be bovverd" air to them

unlike on German cars were they sprint up and down like they've got Nike trainers on

and the engine just seems like its missing a beat or two -- might be me, but I’ll run it for a few more 1000 miles and take it to a specialist for a thorough going over and maybe a remap

£50 for a rolling road session may be more useful then spending money on a remap straight away.
