after a bit of advice really, I currently have a 1999 prodrive impreza with 104k on it.

reading through the forums it seems that if you add a bigger turbo, fuel pump, remap and intercooler you can get them up to around 300hp without sacrificing the reliability?

so is it worth going for it or is the car too high mileage? I've owned it since 65K and the remaining have been mostly motorway miles. Or am I better or selling it and looking for an STI or similar.

Currently I know the CAT is blown and my garage had trouble locating a replacement, I guess as its not the standard.something I need to sort out before the next MOT. For the mods do you need a decat pipe and if so does this cause issues come MOT time?

 

YEA, my car has 110000 mile on her and she has big turbo,remap ect. as long as u look after ur car and service it reg check all levels u will be fine,

 

Mine's modded and its done 116000 and ive not had any problems

 

With the CAT problem, being a model with the PPP, you would only have the one CAT, in the downpipe. Its completley standard, and not hard to source, as everyone removes them for some more power. I think there is a cat on here for 50 odd quid in the for sale section.
