Sticky needle on speedo (JDM V7 STi)
I have a 2001 bugeye JDM STi.
When I got it the speedo was overreading quite a lot (10 - 15mph) so I took the needle off to adjust it and cannot seem to get it back to working properly. The speedo works and is fairly accurate on average but is very sticky/sluggish. However deep I push the spindle back into its hole I end up with it inconsistently underreading a few mph as speed increases and overreading as speed decreases. It is as if something is occasionally binding.
Any ideas? Anyone know how deep the spindle should be pushed back into its hole?
