Hi guys,what would be the maximum power you could expect from a 97 wrx with std internals.The car is my sons and at present its running 288 bhp.It has a Hypa flow tmic,full decat system.The next mod is a vf28 and a set of 440 injectors.He is looking at 300+ but I have my douts with std internals and wounder how long the engine will last.Would be most greatfull for any feedback befor diving into my bank account for costly repairs....Andy

 

it already runs 440 injectors they should be yellow iirc.

300bhp should be fine as with all increases it will shorten the life but if the engine is looked after i don't think it would be a problem i would say 330-350 would be pushing it.
