How do i tell if my crank & rods are V9?

Default How do i tell if my crank & rods are V9?

I have my engine in bits, and was suposte of had a rebuild with a V9 crang Rods & ACL bearings

I know the bearings are ACL as it has ACL stamped into them

What about teh crank and rods?

V9 crank is Nitrided (and darker in colour) with cross drilled mains and the Rods are the later bolt type as opposed to the earlier nut and stud type.

the rods also have a chamfer across the small end.............

Heres the crank....


The rods are bolts, they also have locating dimples in them, which also means you cant refit the caps back to front....
