Intermittent buzzing noise under dash?

Intermittent buzzing noise under dash?
Hi
I'm a new scooby owner and my first one is high mileage and has a few (hopefully minor) faults.
Firstly hello fourumites!
Secondly can anyone help with a couple of things? I have a intermittent buzz (like a solenoid electrical buzz) coming from under the dash right of the steering column area. It only happens when driving. Its annoying rather than causing any obvious problem. Has anyone experienced this or have any pointers to what it could be?
Also the a/c compressor pulley is very noisey can you just replace the pulley or bearing or is it the whole compressor that needs replacing?

Oh yeah .. my scooby is WRX 2001 160,000 miles bugeye model and until now has always been fully Subaru Serviced! Should i check anything particular on such a high mileage vehicle as the new owner?
