Question Advise on 2003 STI

Hi guys im new here but a regular on other car sites ( seatcupra.net ) i currently own a 2001 seat leon cupra and have took it as far as i want to ( 320 bhp with an IHI turbo running 1.4 bar ) but im obvisusly peed off with traction issues , so im taking the plunge and like the spec of the my03 and over STI ( in black preferably ) i have around 10 grand to spend ( when i sell mine ) .
I have a few questions for you guys in the know...
1. What is the weakist part of the engine / what to look at.
2. What pressure ( in BAR ) does the turbo put out STD and remapped
3. What exactly is the prodrive pack ( 305 bhp? ) and how does it make that power?
4.Seeing as the ic is in the most stupid place how long ( while booting ) does it take for heat soak to set in?
5.I live in worksop so the scooby clinic is close-by , are these any good?
6.What bhp can the std internals cope with?
7.Can you buy a system like the haladex controller for the TT for the STI?

Thanks in advance
simon.

Not really in the know but here goes!

1. What is the weakist part of the engine / what to look at. Gearbox/Piston 3?
2. What pressure ( in BAR ) does the turbo put out STD and remapped 0.9/1.0 remap?? Depends on the remap but prob 1.4 ish
3. What exactly is the prodrive pack ( 305 bhp? ) and how does it make that power? Exhaust, chip, sticker!
4.Seeing as the ic is in the most stupid place how long ( while booting ) does it take for heat soak to set in? Never had a problem with it
5.I live in worksop so the scooby clinic is close-by , are these any good? Excellent
6.What bhp can the std internals cope with? Mates running 396 on a wrx, hasn't had a problem......yet
7.Can you buy a system like the haladex controller for the TT for the STI? Don't know

Caveo, buy the STi. The 'everything' is better than a WRX.
I have an 03 WRX modified, just look at my Scooby Plus Profile link on the left.
I should have stretched to the STI when i bought mine new and then had the right car to modify.
Ppl may say i am wrong, but go STI and get the right 'base' car on which you can work if you then get the modifying bug like i did.
There are ppl on here running major bhp on WRX internals but good luck to them! LOL.
They know they have pushed the limits and also accept the fact it could go **** up at any time, with one of them not using the car as a daily driver also.
I want, need, have to use my car every day and so my mods are based on this.
My 76k mileage attests to my love of the car! LOL.

cheers for being honest. I like the look of the interia better in the sti too , and looking @ the scooby clinic power packages ill take it to 320 and leave it there ( i say that now ) will the std clutch be ok at that level or isit just too much of a lottery to say

I would say it will be ok, it just depends on the torque too. I was aiming for 340 bhp on my car with the mods i had planned, i was advised to replace my clutch purely due to me fitting the new headers which meant my torque would be higher. If i had stayed with my oem headers i was told not to bother and wait until the oem clutch died. At the time, i wanted it changing anyway and so just did it as i had the money.
For 320, stick with oem clutch and when it dies replace it with uprated one.
You wont need any work doing in that area to get your engine modded, so its not like you will pay twice for it to be done later if you decide to wait.
STI is the right choice.
