Mods / Fuel Pump Question?
At what power levels is it advisable to change to an uprated fuel pump?
Planning the following mods very soon :-
Decat up pipe / Decat Centre pipe
Prodrive Sports cat downpipe
+ Remap
Advised this should be good for 270-280 BHP, also is it worth changing the intercooler Y piece at the same time?
Reason I ask is that this is done as part of the PPP upgrade.

There are various debates about the fuel pump on here. Technically, if you change the pump, it shouldn't make a difference, as the ECU controls the injector duty and fuel pressure, so there would be no noticeable benefit.
On the other hand, if you change it, the extra flow rate is there for when you do need it, and having a new fuel pump can't be bad as the standard could give up at any time.
Its up to you though. I have simular mods, and just changed the fuel pump for the sake of it.

i was advised to change the fuel pump on my sti6 with the same mods as you are going for, it doesn't give any performance benifit it is just for safety, to make sure the pump can give the right amount of fuel needed afaik
