Default pleeeeeease HELP

hello anyone
have a 01 wrx all standard apart scorpion ex still with cat fited.
when in high gear and at 3000-4000rpm if i floor it the engine light
flashes then goes out,done it once before took it to garage had no
faults loged on ecu.does not do it at any other time.1.what is wrong and 2.is it going to blow up?????? cheers

If there are no faults logged and it does it all the time, then you would be wise to let an subaru tuner check over the car with their kit fitted to see what is happening. I wouldnt keep pushing the car until you know what the check light is for.

hello there
just been out for a spin,all ok no lights flashing at the said revs/gear,so it must have cleared its self????
looks like intermitent.
ps......i only use the car 1/2 times a week plus not much hard use(4ooo-5000 rpm)plus gets left standing alot somtimes 1 month at a time would this have anything to do with it
