Question Which Mass Air Flow Meter for my99 Sti wagon Import

can someone please help me on this one

my car is stalling when i approach a give way at cruising speed and sometime the revs seem like they are having problems finding the right place to settle and when i cruisei sometimes feel the car response go like it is being chocked

Now i have been told it is the mass air flow meter

I rang subaru and they said it will cost something like £250 pounds for another one when i spoke to a tuning specialist in Marlow called Motorworx they told me it would cost round about £70

I have a 1999 V5 Sti Wagon Import with 280 Ponies (GF8 for the techies) as standard and would like someone to point me in the right direction as i havnt the faintest

as far as i know you only have to replace the sensor not the entire block (which is what Subaru possible expect you to buy).
The MAF is the square, black box on your airbox that has a connectore attached

Just replaced mine the other day on MY99. It's just a little black box on the air box that has a connector on it. Type in Subaru Impreza MAF Sensor on ebay and you'll see it. It's where I got mine from. It was through scoobyparts on ebay. £100. Hope this helps.
