Default Cam bolts snapping???

Has anyone had the problem of the cam cap bolts snapping before? Apparently they can stretch!? Had a few go when torquing to 14ft Ibs, which is what my manual says to. Followed everthing it says in sequence etc.

Really pi**ed off.... gone backwards instead of forward!

Are they arms & legs, sell a kidney to replace??

Thought there meant to be 10Nm 6mm and 20Nm 8mm. I'm sure you have overtightened them.

As 172sport stated - M6 cam bolts are 10Nm,M8 cam bolts are 20Nm.
I normally run a tap down all the cam bolt threads before re-assembly to ensure the correct torque is reached.
