CV grease! But seriously, you want the molybenum grease, sometimes sold as "CV grease", it's the black stuff.

thanks for that, should of asked aswell, will i need to buy a tool for putting it in?

you shouldn't, except your fingers. You might need a tool to redo the clip, but the OE subaru ones are reusable.
