Default Which Headgasket std or Cosworth

Having to face the dreaded headgasket job and while looking around for the parts noticed Cosworth have gaskets at 0.78 and 1.1mm thick. Which one is best for the V3 STI running 1.4 bar boost. What is the thickness of the std Subaru headgasket.

STi V3 "thick MLS" head gasket is 1.6mm thick.
They can handle high horsepower but you can always fit a set of ARP head studs to get better clamping force if your running a higher boost.
You only generally need to change the thickness of the gasket when you need to alter the comp ratio/squish due to a change in the piston/deck height etc.

MLS just means Multi-Layer-Steel, Subaru gaskets will be fine, but if cosworth ones are cheaper, they'll do the job

Stick to standard ones unless you specifically remap the car to take avantage of the higher compression created by Cossie thinner gaskets. Especially on Vers 3 or 4 STi
