hELP FELAS MY CLASSIC 98 IMPREZA WONT START ITS TURNING OVER FINE SOUND FINE GETTIN SPARK AND FUEL THE NITE IT BROKE DOWN WE TRIED SWAPPIN OVER COIL LEADS AND MAF

 

Did you have any unusual symptoms before it stopped working?

 

The only problem i had was when i put the foot down full accel i would get a short sharp misfire then away it went no problems afetwards ????? the engine check light has not come on and it does work???

 

Sounds like a fuel issue with the funny misfire on acceleration....
Could be your pressure regulator is and ex-pressure regulator. Or maybe the fuel filters blocked?

You'd still get a bit of fuel through just not enough.

 

did you do what i told you to do and check the timing?? and did you find the belt destroyed and jumped a few teeth? i think you did!
