Default Maf fault code on new sensor

I have just had the RB5 re mapped. Immediately after the process was completed (10 mins) the Maf failed.

I ordered a new one and refitted it today. After fitting the new MAf I started the car up and after it settled the idle was eratic.
I have done the CEL test and the same 2-3 code is coming up again.

I am a little concerned to say the least. Can something on the car cause the Maf to blow so quick or is it just a duff sensor (brand new Subaru part)

Default

All sorted now.

I disconnected the battery for 1 hr then on restarting it was fine.
The ECU must have stored the fault.
