Default Anyone running a Blitz Nur Spec R ?

Without the bung in? Just wondered if you had any interest from our boys in blue regarding noise issues. Mines in at the moment but its a bit too quiet, what should i do? i know they sound wicked without but is it too much??
Any comments much appreciated

Drove around with it for a year so far. Only bung it out of respect for the neighbours.

I had one on my STI for nearly 2 years and never got stopped by dibble.
I would have told them to go away if they did stop me.

If I see you round these parts sporting the Blitz I shall not pull you sir

A clip of mine which makes me chuckle.

The H+S full decat on my RB5 is way louder than the Blitz though.

Correction, imagine it with ported manifold, stainless up pipe, 3" downpipe, and the blitz cut where it normally goes down to 2.5" to be made a true 3" all the way through. That's loud.. trust me

I also run the nur without a bung and an open neck decat downpipe full 3" all the way.
Not had any interest from the boys in blue. Little bit of common sense when you pass them etc is all it takes

I had a NurR on a fully decatted 3" system on a 2.5L engine.......now that is loud!!!
In 4th flat out it sounded like a Tornado Jet and as loud. It was fantastic, but for an every day daily driver, it broke my ears.

Ran it for 2years on 2.0L, no bung, no interest from the dibble.

You'd know if the bung was in it. It's a metal bung that sits in the tail pipe.

Slick81...... mmmmm angry car. I do miss the obscenely offensive noise sometimes, but then again when every single person turns round way before they can see you and your wife can hear you 3 miles away letting rip, it aint a good thing.

Ash002004 the bung is in the rear silencer. Look underneath the tailpipe, there will be a little bolt (10mm) undo this, reach in the tailpipe and then pull out the bung ... ...a stainless pipe with a flange to stop it falling into the silencer.
If it isnt out already, you wont be putting it back. LOL

Got the Nur spec-R on my53 sti. 3" decat downpipe, and gt spec II headers & up pipe. Loud from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm, then gets quite subtle, until you hit 5500 rpm when it comes to life again. Used the bung once for 5 mins but had to remove it cos it rattled like Jaws trying to eat a back of nuts and bolts whilst riding the big one in Blackpool!
