Default Electronic boost controler

If i fit the above to a classic wrx will i need a chip to stop it blowing up? also can you reprogram/alter the standard ecu

it will have to be set up correctly and it depemds what year/version car you have to whether the standard ecu is remappable

you can have it on the standard ecu, something like a apexi avcr, but to get the best out of it, a remap would be best

The electronic boost controller will only boost up to what the ECU allows so you won't have to worry about it doing any damage.

It will need to be set up though, preferably on a rolling road.

Boost controllers are great for preventing over boosting too.
