Default Heatshield removal....

The shield around my turbo, or infront of the dash in the bay, wherever it is....rattles like hell! and it really does my head in, enough to put me off driving sometimes as it makes the car sound horrible during low revs.... has anyone else took theirs off? is it worth it? and safe?

Advice please if anyone can help, lol

Ash

To take it off because it makes a noise is a no, no.

The turbo and d/p creates loads of heat which needs to be kept away from vital engine parts so you can't just remove it for that reason as you may cook bits that should be kept cool.

If it is loose then resecure it. It may be just a couple of bolts that need to be replaced.
