Default Boost leak??

Hi im new to the fourum, just bought my first impreza a 96 WRX import around 2 weeks ago, its got quite a few mods done to it including a MINE'S ECU.

im loving the car apart from when i was driving around the other day and gave it some beans, and looked at the boost gauge, it boosts to 1.2 bar holds it for a while but then the boost starts to drop, is this normal or will one of the hoses be loose or cracked?

ive been thinking of changing all of the hoses to samco's?

any advice will be much appriciated

Cheers

Ash

Depends what you mean by boost holding for a while.
Boost pressure is always going to drop through the rev range.
Also depends what it drops to.
You'd need to give more information for a better diagnosis.
If a boost pipe was loose or split, you'd have trouble reaching your preset boost levels to start.

ill have a better look at the boost gauge next time i drive it.
