Auto To Manual Classic WRX Conversion ?
Anyone who has done this will probly have the answer to my questions
Its a 95 sports wagon wrx import was auto now converted to manual.Exactly what i done below
removed auto box, prop, diff, gearselector in the car and unplugged wires of it and left them there behind the centre console
fitted manual gearbox with matching diff, clutch, pedal etc
Wiring i took the switch off side of the auto box left it plugged in but in park so its starts
The problem iam having is when going slow ie turning into my driveway on full lock the car feels like its trying to grind to a halt with the back wheels giving a slow motion wheel spin type effect and making the clutch smell
Any ideas what could be happening here or have i missed something doing the conversion. Also there is no fuse in the diff lock holder under the bonnet but surely now this is not connected with the auto box in
Any help much appreciated
Thanks
