Default Low settings on boost controller

Hi I've got a Greddy Electronic Boost controller (Profec B spec II) which I'm very happy with.

It has 2 preset levels that I can switch between (Lo or Hi). The Hi setting is set up perfectly and it was rolling roaded at 254bhp.

What I wondered though is on the Lo setting, can I turn the boost levels right down so that the turbo is barely being used. Can I run it at low settings (e.g. 5%) safely without having any negative effects on the car?

Got the same controller on mine. The low setting can be set as low as you like I believe. Mine is set at 0.86 bar on low at the moment, peaking at 1.0 bar but not sure what % of boost it is. When the unit is off, the turbo produces just under that.

ok thanks, my settings are the same for high boost as peak is set at 1.0 bar.

I'm happy to run it on the low boost when doing the commute as I'm probably saving a few pennies on petrol - I hope. I just hope it won't do the car any damage running it on low boost. I guess it's even possible to turn it down to 0 so the turbo doesn't spin?

What does the % mean on the set dial too?

Do you mean the bosst %? Do you have a set up manual for the controller? Self explanitory in there really. If not, you can download one. Just do a search on google.

I dont think you'll be able to lower it any more than the preset tension on the actuator, which i think is around the 0.6bar mark.
