1.2 Bar of boost?
Hi. Just wondering what could have been done to my engine, becourse my Greedy boost gauge reach 1.2 possibly 1.3 on full boost, but nothing was said about any tuning when I bought it. Everything that I can see (I´m far from being an expert) is OEM, exept from a Samco inlet hose. But I don´t know anything about fuelpumps and injectors. The car seems to drive fine, no mecanical issues, but then I haven´t raced it yet. So question is what needs to be done to a -97 type-r to run safe on 1.2 bar boost? And how can I see if this has been done to my car?

Thought it would be I chip, but it´s unusual to see without an open airfilter and big inch tailpipe. So is it safe to drive without upgrading fuel and airflow?
Domino, I not sure what you mean but the engine runs like I think it should, only more boost than I´d expect from an OEM engine. I have never driven a Subaru before this so can´t compare it with an OEM. There is no problem flooring it, you´d get a little kick around 4000 rpm.

My old 1993 WRX ran 1.2 bar with no mods, i always assumed this was normal. I had it for 5 years and it was fine. It would not overboost and i could floor it with no probs.

sounds quite possible that rob73's idea of a chip might be the case as this would allow for a higher boost level before fuel cut
