Test Mode Connectors :

2 black connectors and 2 green connectors under dash, they are by your left knee when sat in the drivers seat and often taped back to the loom if they haven't been used before.

{ they are not easy to find, I would say its an ARMS length up toward the steering column }

OK this is a stab in the dark here, have you checked all the boost hoses for any leaks, also have a quick check over the maf.

Do a quick check on the maf, have the car ticking over and disconnect the maf. The car should stall and cut out, if it does the maf is working. If it still runs the maf is knackered.

Keep an eye on the forums, a few always turn up around the £30 to £50 mark

checked the maf like you said today & the engine cut off so thats ok & put a tank of vpower in which the previous owner was using as ive not really got a shell garage close by & ive been using bpultimate but still seems to be running the same will check the hoses for leaks when the weathers abit better thats about all i can think of now

Probably not a fuel issue, however, never use BP Ultimate in a scoob. It should carry a health warning 'DO NOT PUT ME IN YOUR SCOOB' this stuff has been known to cause det and you really don't need that. Stick with V-Power, if yours is an import and has not been adjusted to UK fuel then it really does need V-Power as its got a much higher octane than any other 'Super' fuels. If the previous owner only used V-Power maybe this is the problem?

Yea never use BP Ultimate, shocking stuff my car ran fecking terrible on it. Like it was not firing on all cylinders right.
Im in the same boat as you, can only get BP or Esso super unleaded. I used Esso 97 ron & booster till I got it remapped back in December 07

i will check all the hoses tomorrow if the weathers ok & see how i go on with the vpower i ran it down just under quater tank before putting the new fuel in so probably still adjusting, but i get stuck in traffic everyday going to work & it sups fuel & going 5 mile to a shell garage is just stupid, did seem to run ok on the bp but at high revs was this issue sure ill get there in the end just gotta keep trying things
