Default Power Steering Problem

Hi, I have a power steering problem I'd like some help with, please. When I start the car from cold or slightly warm and turn the steering wheel I get a sort of rhythmic kick-back on the wheel. It's been there a while but is now getting very pronounced. It goes away after a few normal steering moves. Question is, is it likely to be the pump or tyhe rack? Thanks, Graham

sounds more like air in the system. chek for leaks or o ring worn, have you replaced anything lately and not bled . other than that could be the pump on its way out or sucking in air,
