HELP on a sensor im not sure of !!!!
Hi, im new to the site so i wont waffle on.
Upon inspection of a w reg Impreza Turbo 2000 bay which i brought a couple of days ago, ive seen a sensor which is on the left hand side. which is connected near the suspension strut. it is a purple colour. One of my mates recon its a map sensor. is this a modifcation? it seems that is is part of the original wiring loom, however it seems that is should have 2 bolts but theres only one bolt which holds it as there isnt anywhere for the other bolt to fix to?
can anyone help?

MAP sensor - Manifold air pressure, tells the ECU what air presure is in the inlet manivold, vacuum or boost, and how much. The car comes with one. I don't know it if has 1 or 2 bolts though, I think 2 or it had some other clip thingy?
There are aftermarket MAP sensors with boost control kits or ECU's, or even changing a pre 97 car's map for a later one as it has a higher top limit for boost.
