Default 273bhp, 291ft/lb and 27mpg!

Hi all,

Took my MY00 turbo back to Power Engineering in Uxbridge last night to get some dyno figures as their rolling road was broken when I had the remap done a couple of weeks ago. As well as the above figures, my mpg has gone from around the 22/23 mark to 27, so I'm one happy bunny. Replacing a knackered MAF sensor has helped with the mpg too. Running on V-Power.
Mods to get to the above from standard:
Scoobyworld Ninja downpipe with fast flow cat
Hayward and Scott straight through centre section with muffler
Hayward and Scott twin pipe backbox- beautifully engineered!
K&N panel filter
GFB underdriven pulley set
ECUTek remap at Power Engineering- highly recommended outfit, by the way!

Not cheap, but I now wish I'd done it all when I bought the car 3 years ago!

Slim

It is amazing how easy it is to get so much power from these cars!

What would these mods do for my 96 2000 turbo?

Can you get these remaps done without a roling road?

Or do thay need to be custom made for the car?

What other simple mods release power?

Nope, 27mpg doing a run to Slough and back with some 85mph cruising, mixed with stop-starts in traffic and a few days at work hoofing it around the twisties where I live. The real test will be in just trips to work and back over a couple of weeks, overtaking hillbilles and playing in the twisties some more.

Tris-seriesmcrae- no rolling road needed. Iain at Power Engineering has loads of maps which he's tweaked over the years. Just tell him what's on the car and he has a map to suit! I just wanted the dyno print as a matter of interest, plus it was included in the price anyway.
