Default Neutral position Switch 03 STi

Hi,

My NPS is playing up I was told by my mapper, I haven't noticed must except not as quick sometimes due to the vvt not kicking in.

I know some people just replace it but I've heard about shorting out terminals 1 & 3?

I found this on the net,
http://www.subaru-car.ru/imp4/imp04_trans_4-2.pdf

Which say there should be less than 1 ohm between 1 & 3 but I think that's when the cars in neutral, so shorting these out will only show it in neutral all the time and increase the problem??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Allan

I have heard that aswell. If the tip is worn a thinner washer will let it sit lower, but it's only a matter of time untill the same problem occurs. I'll maybe just fit a new switch.

Thanks
