Default rebuild time

the bottom end has just gone on the scoob again so im looking at doing a rebuild. I was thinking it would be nice to rebuild it as a bit of a monster .
What is the best way to to go about building a 400-500bhp engine?
What are the pros an cons of going 2.5 and will a standard gearbox take this sort of power ?
The car is a 1995 wrx

building a "monster " will hit you deep in the wallets a 2.35 or a 2.5 with forge piston/rods along with other mods will see it good for 450-500
I have a Forge 2.5 with a MD321T turbo making around 460-480 bhp in my P1
pros .............are instant power on tap low down
will beat 95% of cars on the road
pull 6th gear from 2000 revs

cons......higher insurance
use more fuel
need 6 speed gearbox or uprated ppg box
budget around £10K for a proper conversion

it worth it if you keep the car for a few years , otherwise no

you will need a Garrat GT30 /35 or a MD321T for that kind of power, same really as a builts 2.5 , that kind of power will need a 6 speed or uprated gearbox

but these turbo will spool much later on a 2.0, its is best on a 2.35 or a 2.5

you need at least 740s injector ( i have 850 in mine ), uprated fuel pump, fuel regulator,3" exhaust will be ok ,if you have stock headers and up pipe....replace with someting like the GT spec 2 headers /up pipe or the HKS ones , then theres parallel fuel rails
, bigger turbo .....the list goes on and on
