twin scroll conversion on a 55 plate wrx
guys, after some help.
I am somewhat of an impreza newbie and am part way throu a twin scroll conversion on my 2005 uk WRX.
I am begining to regret starting this conversion because i first ran into problems with the headers not fitting up, now i have the oem spec c headers and thats ok. however they do not clear the stock sump, so i now have a spec c sump on order.
question now is: is the oil pick up on my 2005 wrx compatable with the spec c twin scroll sump? if not what is involved in changing or moding the oil pick up?
also i understand i need to mod or replace the dipstick, can anyone shed any light on this aspect? what parts if any do i need?
sensible feedback only please.....would really appreciate advice from someone who has done this conversion already.
PS any advice about baffling a twinscroll sump would be gratefully recieved as the car will be a track car running full slicks.
ta Matt

Matt,
Speak to PowerStation if you want your twin scroll sump baffled for track use. I have this baffled twin scroll sump on my Spec C Cosworth Race Car engine, which is the same spec as PowerStation / Litchfield Time Attack Winning Spec C Race Car's engine.
If you want a twin scroll up-pipe and turbo (and inlet pipe) I have these for sale if you are interested.
Regards,
Shaun

You do understand that with this conversion you will get an increase in torque?
Realistically its not worth doing, your much better off buying a twin scroll lump or just going for a JDM STi.
Its not a dig, the fact is that you have to replace half your engine to convert it, then the benefits may cost you due to the increased torque (clutch/gearbox).
Up to you though.
