Hi guys,my girlfriend's 93 scooby has developed an odd problem.The turbo kicks in around 3000rpm in all gears apart from 4th,drop down a gear and away he goes...just takes ages for the turbo in 4th,even at 4000rpm, so far i have replaced the coils with new subaru ones (even though he never misses a beat).Should i be looking at the MAF next ?

 

Sounds like a ECU problem, but I am no expert....just seems weird its only in 4th?

 

Has it got an Apexi AVCR boost controller? You can set gear specific boost with these, so maybe someone has turned the boost down in 4th gear.

 

Hmmm i'm not sure on that one,what does it look like ?
