Cruise Control not working

Cruise Control not working
Hi all,
Recently bought a 54 plate Forester 2.0XT - delighted with it, only problem I have is the cruise control doesn't seem to work.
I don't get any response when using the button marked 'Cruise' or the lever on the wheel.
Any thoughts? Could it be a fuse or is it likely to be something more serious?
