Has anyone had a broken wire in the wire loom for the knock sensor, because i keep getting knock sensor fault and check engine light on, at first the engine check light come on once when cold, but then it went ok did not do it for a while.
Then a couple of weeks later it came on again and has gradually has got worse, the check engine light is on and off all the time now when i go over bumps in the road, but even when the check engine light is not on it still holds back on boost and hesitates, i tried two other sensors an still came up with the fault ive been to see a specialist and we suspect that it might be a posible break in the wire somewere and keeps breaking an then making contact, i was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem before.

 

Follow the procedure in the factory manual. it'll tell you what to measure in the wiring loom for the knock sensor.

 

hi mate i dont know if this helps but i had exactly the same problems as you, i ended up replacing the knock sensor and the lamba sensor now i dont have a problem and my boots fine too hope thats helped
