Default oil consumption

I have a 2003 WRX it is presently still under warranty, I have done approx 7000 miles in the 10 months I have had it and it has used about 3/4 pint of oil, now before my warranty runs out is this normal, the car is running fine and to be honest this amount of oil used doesn't seem excessive compared to other cars I have had, just wondered if others are about the same.
