Default How to extract the up-pipe !

As above, do I have to loosen the engine mount and jack the engine up ?

It's been a long weekend, my back is aching, and I've cut my hand !

But I've an ever increasing pile of scrap, but nothing new on yet !

LOL

TIA

no jacking of the engine just undo the 5 nuts on upipe where its connected to the turbo and brackets and obviously where it connects to the rest of the headers then you have twist it when pulling it down and out. also if your leaving turbo there i use cable ties to support the weight
hope that helps

Thanks, but my manifold to up-pipe bolts are absolutely welded together....
makes the whole thing rather too large to be wriggling about...

Thanks for the help !

P.S. turbo off and now heading for the "For Sale" section LOL

I would also say be careful when twisting the upipe around just before it drops out, as I managed to fracture the halfmoon oil seal in the back of the rocker cover.

As I was doing a turbo swap...

Cut thro' the welded solid nuts and pulled the bugger out upwards !

Thanks to all for their input !
