Default Venom Injectors

Was having a rummage through Ebay USA and came across TLF Motorsport who are selling a set of Side feed 550cc Venoms.

Few Questions...

Has anyone used Venoms? Anyone had any dealings with this company? On the description it says that its for Sti EJ25 engines but will also fit Version 5&6. Iv got an MY98 so not sure what "version" mine is supposed to be. Will they fit or do I need extra "bits"?

Sorry guys, I know its loads all in one but rather cover all the bases. They work out to about £150 after exchange rates which is pretty good IMO and would save me £ ready for my front mount. But also wana make sure that I dnt get "burned" hence the questions.

Thanks in advance.

Tee.

Your car will be a V4 same as mine

pretty sure you will have phase 1.5 fuel rails

they sound like phase 2 injectors if they fit V5&6 cars, you would need collars and o ring to make them fit your fuel rails

I have the same problem which is why I just snapped up the collars from fiestaboy on his for sale thread

If i am wrong I am sure someone will come along soon and correct me

Yeh 1.5 sounds familiar. These come with collars and O rings.

Venam has also injectors for 1.5 version fuel rails.
They are not the best but if you use an aftermarket ECU you can make them work fine. Maybe a little rough idle but in this price you cant have them all......

I'm using Venom 550's in my car and have no problems with them, runs/idles and drive absolutly fine on a TEK3 re-mapped standard ECU.

When Andy F mapped my car he was a little concerned about the fact i was using Venom injectors, apprantly the early one only had one pintle (hole for the spray to come out of) which were crap, mine have 4 and the mapping all went fine.

Single pintle are poor.
Personally I wouldn't skimp on something as important as injectors.

I dnt wanna be skimping on it either. If there not "really" recommended then Ill stay clear of them. Wasn`t aware of the Pintle issue either.

ECU wise iv got an Apexi Power FC.

I guess Id be better off looking at a set of Nismo, Sard or Power Enterprise?

Nismo and Sard are good.
A friend has 800cc Sards in a Toyota and the idle is perfect. Maybe even slightly better then my 440's. Certainly better then some 550's I have witnessed.

I think 550s will be enough. Cant see myself pushing the car beyond 380bhp. Ill scrap the Venoms then, see what I can find.

Oh dear. Thanks for that Simon. I have left the idea of Venoms now. Having a hunt for Nismo`s or Sard`s.

How much would you want for supplying a set of 550's Simon?
