Default Blown Turbo :(

Hi,

I've got a 99 UK wagon with VF28 turbo, the bearings have been making quite a bit of noise for some time but today they got really loud then I lost all boost, the Turbo is spinning but now sounds more like a vacuum cleaner, not sure what to do???

Currently at work with a 75 mile drive home, the engine seems to be running fine all be it without boost, am I safe to drive home?

If the bearing have gone can they be replaced? if not what are my options? I was happy with the power delivery of the VF28 and whilst more power is always good the cars done 118000 miles so I don't want to create more problems or spend a lot of money.

Thanks

Hi Replied to your mail, you should be able to do a straight swap, the porting makes it spool a bit sooner
