Unhappy Dash Brightness switch!

Hey Guys,

Got my first classic impreza not long ago. I have a switch that says brightnness on it but it only makes my clock brighter or dimmer??? Surely its not just for the clock!

I am presuming that this is suppose to do the whole dash but it doesnt!

Has anyone else had this and do you know how to fix it?

Cheers

The one that says Bright you mean?
All it does is makes the clock on the dash brighter or dimmer.
I actually had to use mine the other day when it was a bit sunny.

Got the same on my Classic - seem to recall that the manual says it's just for the clock - something about relative brightness and all that

Some countries of the world require you to have headlights on all the time (Scandanavia for example) but you can't see the clock in daylight when it is dimmed so this is Subaru's workaround it.
