the most amazing thing ever...!!..Sensor change..15 minute trun around!!
not sure if you guys know this or not...
but...
my car was displaying symptoms of classic crank sensor failure, not starter, when started it would die, more than most times it would cranl but not kick to life, left her ina car park over night last night (could not sleep!!), first light, i phoned my mechanic/superstar ex prodrive mechanic, managed to start her, and limped home, this is where the magic starts
out comes the crank sensor, and then the cam sensor, a couple of modification to each sensor(shaving off the plugs, and so on), and then a quick clean, cam sensor goes in place of the crank, and viceversa, and wham bam thank you mam...one non starting scoob, burbles back into life!!
all done and dusted in 15 minutes!!!....

hi
as i said, my mechanic had to modify the plug end in order for it to fit into the housing!!..the reason he had to do this was, he is away building gearboxes in between moving garages, so his new parts are all away in a container..this is just a fix until he gets back in 3 weeks time..but, it is working, and since it was done today, circa 11am she has been fine!!
the wonders that this man does sees no end..i trust him and only him with my cars, a one man band he is, so it takes longer for the work to be complete, but it has his attention, and only his attention!!

yes the car started and then died...sometimes when running hot, it would not start at all..
hence leaving her in a car park in the middle of the night on a saturday night out...the car park is right behind the main strip of clubs and bars..lady luck would have it that the only damage the car had was a sh*t load of bird poo..

it was quite strange, leaving her there...i was out with some friends, (Not drinking by the way!!)...and the fact that i am sat there trying to start the car..for 50 odd minutes, the police walked past twice, but not one stopped to ask, what am i doing, and ask 'have you been drinking sir!!)
i know it was very bad of me, i could not sleep!, considering the car is immaculate, not a scatch on her, or car park ding..she had a full perfect respray last sept, !!
would have been gutted if there was any damage
