Cool hesitant scoob

hi

in love again, put the BMW to rest, and brought a 95-96 wrx saloon, the car has a apexi power fc commander, so i assume it has the remapped ecu?, falcon alarm and a tracker!, the problem is, the car runs sweet as a pee, except on the drive back yesterday, she hesitated a little when starting, the engine turned, but would not start, eventually it started, hunted a little, and then settled down, on the drive back, it was fine, boosted as per normal, right through the rev range, except sometimes it dropped (like a slight hesitant feeling, this only happened when i came off the accelerator!), got home, left it to idle..it stopped!!

car has a turbo timer, but this was not on at the time, the only difference is, that i had to put boggo fuel in...but the car had the start up problem before the crap fuel, the seller insisted that it had super in..(Unless he was lying!!)

any ideas?

other than that, its nice to have a flat four pulsate at your feet!!

Power Fc is a remappable ecu.

Speak to someone like Simon (www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk) and he can talk you through any of the readings on the Commander.

thanks for that dude, the powerfc is fine, i have checked all the settings against what simon has on the web site,

i have just remembered while driving yesterday, the CEL did flash twice(fast)

looking at the diagnostics, it may be the crankshaft position sensor!!

hopefully!!

faulty crankshaft sensor does cause starting problems.
