Default sunroof

Got an electric sunroof on my '98 wagon.
When I leave it ajar to any extent and turn the ignition off it "tries" to shut itself, what I mean by that is that it jigs backwards and forwards as if it's teasing me for making a mistake and leaving it open.
I end up re-igniting and shutting it,is it possible to leave it open,is there something wrong with it?
Cheers.

both of mine with sunroof's fitted were wired so that when you take the key out the sunroof shuts to stop you accidently leaving it open..

If you press and hold the open switch, to either slide or tilt when turning off the ignition it will leave the sunroof open, otherwise turning off the ignition should close it, whether that is if its in slide or tilt position.

Cheers both.
Been messing with it and all appears ok,still tends to jig about but I can set it to stay open or close with the ignition off,as advised.
