moving air filter
hi there thinking of moving my blitz air filter on my98 sti i recently fitted a front mount and now the air filter sits very tight between the fmic and the bonnet, was wondering would it b a safe bet placing it were the old top mount used to sit thought it would get plenty of cool air.
Novel idea. Can it be done without sharp bends and increasing the pipework length? If it is practical to get it there with no tight bends and reduced length of inlet tract then it may be worth a try. However you may find that the connection to the turbo inlet housing is too tight.
thought it would b a good idea just trying 2 source a decent type of hose shouldnt matter about a slight sharp bend hope the extra force of air coming from the bonnet vent should compensate for that.
You may have an issue with water being forced into your air intake doing that way???? Have seen them mounted in between the inner and outer wing with the pipe work running thru the inlet duct on the inner wing, its dry and very cold. Just another option for you
