Impreza ECU Problem
some weeks ago i had bought an ECU Chip Upgrade for my STI 2 Wagon.
Today i had open the ecu ... i already had an Original GF8STI Chip what is located in the "Spare IC Area".
I had try solder out the old IC... it wasnt possible... so i had cut the pins of the old IC and than remove all the pins. After that i had solder in the new IC Socked... and Put in the NEW IC!
I had than install the ecu back... start the engine... it starts... but the Battery and the Engine Check Lamp is Flashing... and when i press the Acceelerator Pedal (also when the Engine ist off just Ignition on) the "Exhaust orWater Overhead Lamp" Flashs !....
if i dont press the acc pedal... the engine after start die.... when i press the acc pedal... than flashs the exhaust or water overheating lamp in the dash.
ohh. shXX
so what is wrong? i think its possible that i had damage the platine layout. or maybe some upper layers arent good soldered (with the ic socked in ... i cant see it)
i must quickly repair the car...
what ecu fits my car? is it possible to drive with every Impreza Turbo Ecu between 1993-1996 ?
my ecu box have written
SC
S0455 00110
A18-000 RZ3-99
thats it.
or another way it... is it possible that i solder in a Resistor into the J1 ? My was factored cutted... maybe its possible to solder on in... and than the car works with stock wrx setting? if yes... could someone tell me how many Ohm the Resistor need?
damn that i had try it today... tomorrow i must drive to work...
but how?

The SC ECU from an STi Wagon is a standard ecu with the STi chip fitted.
The STi Wagon map is a TD05/Z4 map so running 12.7psi/260ps as standard.
Sounds like you have either damaged the ECU or the chip is not soldered in correctley.
I wouldn't attempt removing a soldered chip unless you have all the knowledge and very good equipment. It's easier to fit another ECU with the required socket fitted.
The flashing dash lights, clicking of relays is a classic case of damaged or poorley fitted hardware.

i have think that i can do that job alone... because the knowledge i have.... but no good equipment ... and now i got the bill for that ....
head up... do you have a spare ecu for me where i just can put in my ecu chip?
