Default Coil pack & MAF Information please

Got a misfire, which is doing my head in,

Just had read through some posts and have some questions. MY99 Uk2000

Ive just took my ht plugs off the coil pack and found 3 are all nice and golden coloured, but no.3 is nothing like the rest,. Would this be the sign of a dead coil pack??

MAF, How the hell do you know if one is failing, i did read somewhere about starting engine and unpluging it, if it cuts out its working??

Could the #3 plug lead be defective? Look for an H.T. leek. Is the problem under load or when does it occur?
If the engine stalls on removing the MAF plug then chances are the MAF is OK.
If you want to drive up here you can borrow a plug lead, coil pack or MAF Sensor for a M/Y 99-00 and elliminate the possible causes. The seconhand MAF Sensor is £50 if you need it. A new coil pack is about £90 and a plug lead new is about £15 but we probably have a secondhand in good condition.

HI, thanks for the reply,

Where is here??

Its happens when driving at a steady speed and trying to keep it at that speed, But as soon as you floor it, it powers through, but i get a feeling its not pull as good what did,

If you unplug the maf while its running it cuts out,

Popping to halfords tonight to get a 8mm lead to try it, and if that fix's it will be replaceing all leads.

If not coil pack it will be.
