Default Soot and Water?

I repaired a couple of air leaks and teething problems with the new TD05 this afternoon and thankfully it was idling nicely, I gave it some high revs and it spat out of the exhaust what i can only describe as soot and water, loads of it, about 20 feet up the driveway. There is no smoke, everything is as good as can be expected until the re map but where did this come from?

have you had it idling for a long period of time or done a lot of short journeys without it warming up fully?

if so the exhaust would of got condensation in it which is quite normal, just keep an eye on it and make sure the coolant levels are ok.

Thanks, i have had it idling for long periods of time over the past few days whilst fitting and troubleshooting the new turbo but not driven it. I'll keep an eye on the coolant though for sure. Hopefully its just condensation.
