Hi my heater is either cold or really hot with no middle ground anyone got any ideas what could cause this?

Also my fan does what it likes, if its on low it will sometimes blast out or just switch off...this is a seperate problem thats happened reacently where as the heater problem has been like that for a while.

MY93 WRX...had stood for a while so thinking maybe damp or something affecting the reostat?
